Project approach

In general, the project comprised 4 stages:

Stage 1: preparation

  • conducting a survey among various stakeholders from educational institutions and industry to assess educational needs of society and economy regarding AI and Robotics
  • defining main learning objectives of the training curricula
  • installing an advisory board comprising representatives from educational institutions, public organizations and industry to ensure sustainability and broad acceptance

Stage 2: development of the training and certification system

  • deriving the main topics of each module based on the learning objectives
  • developing the training system (curricula, course material) addressing both beginners and advanced teachers/students
  • developing the certification system (certification questions (multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and interactive tasks) for each modules
  • integrating the Training and certification systems into a unified online learning and course management system
curricula development (stage 1 and 2)

Stage 3: train the trainers

  • conducing trainings for teachers (trainers) at project partners’ institutions (face-to-vace and online)
  • applying a train-the-trainer, blended learning approach
  • after successfully completing the training and the certification, trainers receive an EDLRIS AI or Robotics certificate

Stage 4: train the trainees

  • certified trainers act as multipliers by then training trainees (e.g. young people and school students, …)
  • trainers can use training curricula and course materials developed
  • trainee trainings also comprise face-to-face and online teaching units
  • applying a blended learning, student centered approach
  • after successfully completing the training and the certification, trainees also receive an EDLRIS AI or Robotics certificate
